Percentage Increase Calculator

Enter the original value and the new (higher) value. The calculator finds the difference, divides by the original value, and multiplies by 100 to give the percentage increase. If the new value is lower, the result will be negative, indicating a decrease.

Percentage Increase = ((New Value − Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. Example: salary rising from $50,000 to $57,500 is a ((57,500 − 50,000) / 50,000) × 100 = 15% raise.
